Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson brings over a decade of federal contracting experience to Harrison Steck, following nearly 14 years with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). While at GSA, he served as both a supervisory contracting officer and project manager, where he drafted, negotiated, and administered a broad range of federal contracts. His portfolio included construction, design and engineering services, construction management, and other professional service agreements, all with a consistent focus on safeguarding the federal government’s contractual interests.
Michael gained extensive experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and is highly skilled in resolving contract claims and disputes, conducting complex negotiations, and managing high-value procurement matters across multiple contract types.
Since joining Harrison Steck, Michael has represented general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners in a wide array of construction-related disputes. His practice covers breach of contract and warranty claims, mechanic’s liens, state and federal bond claims, payment and collection disputes, construction defects, delay and impact claims, contract terminations, certified claims, and appeals of contracting officer final decisions under the Contract Disputes Act.
Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas Tech University and his J.D. from Texas A&M University School of Law.
